CAMPING RULES

Please review our park guidelines to ensure everyone has a safe and pleasant experience. Remember, all areas close at 8:30 PM or sunset, whichever comes first. Make sure to schedule your activities to enjoy the daylight hours fully!

Vehicle & Parking Guidelines

  • 🚗 All vehicles must display camping/day passes.
  • 🚗🚗 Two (2) vehicles are allowed per campsite; however, you may only be able to park one (1) at the campsite.
  • 🅿️ Your second vehicle may need to park in the Day-Use area.
  • 🚦 The speed limit throughout the park is 7 1/2 mph.
  • 🚫 Please DO NOT park along any roads, including boat launches; they must be kept clear for emergency vehicles.
  • 🛴 Motorized toys are not allowed to be used in our park, including but not limited to ORVs / ATVs, minibikes, quads, dirt bikes, electric/gas scooters, etc.

Boating & Watercraft

  • 🚤 Boats/Watercraft and trailers cannot be parked in the campground. Check with the office for parking options.
  • 🛥️ Dock at boat launch is first come, first serve.
  • 🏞️ Max Lake speed is 45mph (11 am – 8 pm or Dusk, whichever comes first). Shoreline to 220 feet is max of 5mph at all times (no wake).
  • ⚠️ Keep watercraft out of and away from the creek entrance into the lake.

Beach & Waterfront Access

  • 🌅 All waterfront beach access areas, boat launches, and playgrounds close at Sunset or 8:30 pm, whichever comes first.
  • 🚫 Glass Bottles/Bikes/Pets are not permitted on grassy/main beach areas.

Campsite Conduct

  • 🌙 Quiet time starts at 10 pm nightly and ends at 8 am. Music must be off at this time. Be courteous of neighbors; keep noise levels down/confined to your site so everyone can have a good camping experience.
  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Campers are responsible for everyone at their campsite. All signage applies. Everyone under 18 years old must have adult supervision at all times. Guests/visitors of campers must leave when Day-Use areas close if they are not registered to camp with the office.
  • 🔥 Campfires must be contained in the fire rings provided. No processed wood, building materials, pallets, etc.
  • 🌳 Protect our trees & Nature! No axes, nails, rope, dog runs, hammocks, etc., are allowed in/on our trees.
  • 🐟 Our creek is a protected salmon creek. People, dogs/pets, etc., cannot disturb the creek by fishing, playing, damming, wading, or moving rocks.
  • 🎈 We do not allow water balloons or plastic/metal confetti.
  • 🔫 Weapons/Projectiles of any kind are not allowed in our park, including but not limited to arrows, airsoft, BB guns, throwing axes/knives, firearms, etc.

Important Park Policies

  • 🌲 Columbus Park is a private property. We uphold the right to ensure all guests’ safe and respectful environment.
  • 🍺 Alcohol is permitted in compliance with state laws. This is a drug-free park; non-compliance will lead to eviction without a refund.
  • 🐕‍🦺 Day-Use visits: Pets are not allowed. Please make arrangements beforehand to enjoy our facilities without pets.
  • 🎆 Fireworks are strictly prohibited within park premises for the safety of all visitors.
  • 🏊 Swim at your own risk: No lifeguards are on duty. We are not responsible for lake or weather conditions.

Weather & Lake Conditions

Attention Columbus Park Visitors: The beauty of nature comes with unpredictability. Columbus Park does not issue refunds due to weather conditions, lake levels, or natural occurrences like algae blooms. Plan your visit with nature’s spontaneity in mind.

Important Notice

Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. While we strive to maintain a secure environment, Columbus Park cannot be held liable for personal accidents, injuries, or property loss. In the unfortunate event of unlawful activities such as fraud or vandalism, we will involve law enforcement to ensure our community remains a safe space for all.
